Simple Holidays
We don't put up a Christmas tree or do anything real fancy for the holidays. But we have fun doing little winter scenes throughout the house. We try to keep it simple. We like it this way for us for now.
A friend, Esther, wrote a post here on how she simplifies her Christmas. Also, visit Brenda for more ideas and thoughts on the holidays, as well as holiday recipes.

I love oil lamps, too, and the quilt on the back of your sofa is beautiful!
Thanks for making our home so cozy, comfortable and welcoming. I look forward to walking in the door every evening when I get home from work. ~Drew
the oil lamps are beautiful! love that idea!
I LOVE your oil lamps and that quilt is beautiful. I also love that you make Christmas simple. Your home is so beautiful.
By the way- I have been meaning to tell you since you mentioned the live nativity not far from Charlotte there in NC that we lived in Indian Trail about 30 minutes from North Charlotte. I sure wish I had known about the nativity when we lived there. We were in NC from 2004-2007.
Lovely quilts and oil lamps! Mostly the quilts (I'm a fan of quilts), but I'm sure when the oil lamps are lit in the evenings your home feels very cozy and lends a wonderful, old-fashioned ambience. :)
The lamps and quilt look very nice. My mother is an amazing quilter. I always appreciate them now that I know the work that goes into each one.
Your oil lamps look so nice & cozy!
Your oil lamps are beautiful.
I had several oil lamps (2 passed down from my grandfather to my mother to me, and 1 from our wedding), but they got broken in one of our military moves. While I'll never be able to replace them, I look forward to collecting a few once my hubby retires from the military.
Your home looks very cozy and inviting. :)
I love the oil lamps, too! Such a pretty idea :)
Gorgeous lamps! Thanks for sharing. Your home is cozy and has a warm feeling of welcome :)
